Description
For 25 years now, the company EMTEL from Zabrze has been manufacturing patient monitors and defibrillators, which help medical staff during procedures and surgeries. Recently, the company was given a great opportunity to expand the business. And this is because of putting into production an original NMT muscle relaxation module. Anaesthesiologists making use of this module will be sure that their patients are safe when operated on.
The neuromuscular blockade monitoring module has been developed in cooperation with specialists from the Institute of Medical Technology and Equipment (ITAM). With this module, an anaesthesiologist can precisely dose drugs to patients and control the level of muscle relaxation. Its introduction is going to bring benefits to entire operating teams, with surgeons at the forefront, who can work in a professional and comfortable environment from now on.
Compact patient
Made-to-measure monitormonitors are chosen most frequently for operating rooms. Apart from the basic monitoring parameters (ECG, respiration, oxygen saturation and blood pressure), they also allow to control the following: - concentration of CO2, N2O, O2 and anaesthetic gases, - body temperature, - invasive blood pressure (IBP) monitoring, - muscle relaxation.
"Our module is the first product of its kind in Poland. It is very convenient, as it fits into a small box", explained Marcin Śliwa, the Managing Director at EMTEL.
"We can produce tailor-made patient monitors perfectly meeting the needs of specific customers. The very option of adding the module to our devices alone has meant that our company faces a number of new opportunities. We are entering new markets and participating in tendering procedures which were beyond our reach before. We are still acquiring new customers, including from abroad. For us, it is a great opportunity for expansion", he added.
